The time passes quickly. For the Swiss BS another successful year draws to a close. And already preparatory work is being done for the oncoming year.

We have been deeply moved during this year by the passing of Hanspeter Hofer, Fritz Bühler and Paul Vogt. An orbituary was published on our website which can be read up anytime under >>all news. I would like again to give my condolences to the families during.

Our events like the Baby Show, the Young Stock Show, an aviary visit and Swiss BS National Show were frequented by many members. I would like to extend my thanks to Clemens Keller, his family as well as his breeder friends who allowed us to visit their breeding rooms.

I will not write too much about our annual Swiss BS National Show in Haslen/LU as there is a detailed report on our website. Still I would like to take this opportunity to thank the 'Kleintierfreunde Schüpfheim' for their support before, during and after the show. Indeed I believe, it was the best show I attended since I became a member of the SWV. As the president I had for once sufficient opportunities to talk and discuss with many members even if it was only at the bar. It was simply great.

I would like to thank all the people helping to make our events a success. I hope you continue to have fun and success with breeding budgerigars. I'm convinced that we will see in 2010 a further increase in quality in our birds on all levels.
