On the first of August Fritz Bühler died after being ill for a long time.

In 1970 Fritz became a member of the Swiss BS, then known as SLEW (Liebhabervereinigung für englische Wellensittiche). Upon entering the organisation he became straight off a member of the board as secretary.

5 years later he was elected president. During his presidency the organisation grew thanks to his dedication. Participation at shows grew from 675 in 1975 to 1400 birds shown by the end of his presidency. Under his leadership the SLEW became the Swiss BS. At the same time the first sections were founded. When he stepped down as president in 1989 he was nominated as a honorary member.

With Fritz we lose a person who was crucial in the development of our association.
